Born 1960, studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, Germany, graduated (Dipl.-Ing.) in 1986, gained doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) in 1991.From October 2010 to January 2011 Dr.-Ing.， Hiesinger was Vice Chairman of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG. With effect from the close of the General Stockholders' Meeting on January 21, 2011, Dr.-Ing. Hiesinger is Chairman of the Executive Board of thyssenkrupp AG. Dr.-Ing. Hiesinger is responsible for Corporate Functions of Internal Strategy, Markets & Development, Technology, Innovation & Sustainability, Auditing, Communications and for the regions Asia Pacific and China.
