CCPIT Beijing’s Economic and Trade Promotion Efforts in Holland and Ireland

From 4 to 11 September 2011, a delegation headed by vice president of CCPIT Beijing Mr. NI Yuegang was in Amsterdam Holland and Dublin of Ireland for economic and trade promotions. The delegation was in company of Mr. GUO Jinlong, Mayor of the city of Beijing, who visited these two countries in the due course as a subsequent measure and follow up of Secretary LIU Qi’s visit of Holland in September 2010 during which a memorandum between Beijing and Amsterdam was signed. The task of delegation was entrusted by the Beijing Foreign Affairs Office, which was to implement the terms and clauses relating to economic and trade cooperation between the cities in the above mentioned memorandum. The CCPIT Beijing delegation enforced the briefing promotion meeting themed on Beijing, a city of international conventions and exhibitions. In addition to this briefing meeting, the delegation also assisted Beijing Municipal Commission of Commerce with the commission’s promotion and exchange program in the city of Dublin Ireland, introducing four major conventions and exhibitions, namely, the China (Beijing) International Trade- In- Services Fair, the 7th International Strawberry Symposium, the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo and the China Beijing International Cultural and Creative Industry Expo (ICCIE). Mayor GUO Jinlong attended and addressed the meeting and witnessed the signing of the cooperative framework agreement. Mr. ZHANG Jun, LUO Linquan, China’s ambassador to Holland and Ireland, Secretary General of Beijing Municipal Government Mr. SUN Kanglin, President of EU investment commission, executive director of investment bureau of Amsterdam, Mayor of Dublin Lord Montague, Executive officer of Dublin and leaders and important personages from political and business circles of both countries attended the meeting.
