Chairwoman XIONG Jiuling Visits Rome Chamber of Commerce and attends the C5 Summit held in Paris

During September 1~9, 2011, at the invitation of Rome Chamber of Commerce and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairwoman XIONG Jiuling visited the Rome Chamber of Commerce and went for Paris to attend the C5 Summit respectively. In Rome, Chairwoman XIONG held a talk with Chairman Giancarlo Cremonesi of the Rome Chamber of Commerce and signed a friendly cooperative agreement; met with Mr. Francesco Marcolini, official in charge of cultural communications project of the City Hall of Rome to discuss the cooperation in cultural and creative industry between both sides.

From September 7~9, Chairwoman XIONG Jiuling was present at the C5 Summit, took part in the meeting themed on “Design Innovation and Metropolitan Development”, breakfast meeting and exhibitions, and had discussion about the role of creation in urban development, Beijing’s measures in encouraging creative industry with related practitioners in Paris. Furthermore, XIONG met with chairmen of commercial chambers in Paris, Berlin, Moscow and London to discuss the cooperation matters in exhibition, and grant Mr. Pierre-Antoine GAILLY (Chairman of Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry) and Mr. Eric Schweitzer (Berlin Chamber of Commerce) certificates of honorary Chairman of the BCIC. The Chairmen of the five chambers above agreed on the theme (Education) of C5 Summit and the host venue (London).
