Chairwoman XIONG Jiuling meets with the Delegation of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On April 11, 2011, Chairwoman XIONG Jiulin met with the degation of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by Chairman Kai. Deputy Chairman NI Yuegang also attended the meeting.

Chairwoman XIONG firstly congratulated Mr. Kai on being selected as Chairman of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and welcomed his first coming to China. XIONG introduced the nature, main functions of the CCPIT Beijing and the BCIC, and main activities like the CHITEC and the ICCE, both of which were organized by the CCPIT Beijing; introduced the “2011 Beijing International Conference of Friendly Chambers of Commerce” under preparation, and invited Mr. Kai to take up Overseas Honorary Chairman of the BCIC and attend the conference. XIONG also pointed out that both sides had extensive communications in economic and trade fields, hoped Mr. Kai exerted his influence in the culture and fashion circle to further expand cooperative fields, especially meeting and exhibition, and attract French influential exhibitions to be staged in Beijing.

Chairman Kai. Appreciated XIONG for warm invitation, and stated that to undertake the overseas honorary chairman of the BCIC was his pleasure as Chairman of the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and was witness of the close cooperation between two sides. He thought that the discussion topics of the 2011 BICFCC like “Joint Efforts of International Commercial Chambers after Financial Crisis” played active role in restoring the world economy, especially the European economy, and the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry would like to take part in it. Kai said that he had ever been in charge of cooperative affairs between two sides, so was more interested and confident in enhancing the communications and cooperation between France and China, between the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the CCPIT Beijing.

Chairman Kai also introduced the C5 Summit to be stated during Sept. 8~9, and invited XIONG to attend it. XIONG received the invitation with pleasure and said that the multilateral cooperative mode of the C5 Summit was effective, can not only set up effective platform for communications among entrepreneurs, but contribute ideas for urban development. Chairwoman XIONG hoped that the C5 Summit played core and modeling role in the 2011BICFCC, and expected to meet all chairmen again to discuss the plans for chambers and cities.

CCPIT Beijing has been kept close relationship with the Pairs Chamber of Commerce and Industry since the friendly cooperation relationship built in 1996, and had frequent exchanges in economic and trading, cultural communications, etc.
