General Introduction:

 

The 2012 BIO International Convention was created in 1993 and is held every year. The goals are to help with development of Biotechnology & healthcare industry,, international exchange & cooperation, and overall development of the biology industry. Now, it has become the world’s largest, high end biotechnology convention with a prestigious reputation. As the biotechnology industry is still in the preliminary stage in our country, this exhibition is setting a crucial platform for biotechnology enterprises exploring new market of products and services, seeking cooperation opportunities and establishing the channel of communication across the globe. .

 

The exhibition covers a total of 180,000 square foot in area, which consists of 61 national or state pavilions and 6 special enterprises’ exhibition area, accommodating no less than 1,800 companies. 35 countries and regions, including Germany, France, United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Japan, South Korea, India, and China etc. will be participating in form of the large-scale national pavilion and, whose display area will cover as much as more than 30% of the total exhibition area. State governments, Maryland and California for example, and the well-known international manufacturers, including GE Healthcare, Samsung Biologics and Pfizer, are joining the exhibition with tailored made booths. The tailored made booths accounts for over 95% of the total area. The special zone for enterprises is divided into 6 parts, namely the Business Service Zone, Biosecurity Zone, Clinical Trail Zone, Discovery Zone, Contract Service Zone, and Bio Process Zone.
