The 7th ICCIE will hold more than 100 activities, covering six series of comprehensive activities, exhibitions, forums and summit conferences, trade promotions, creative activities, and activities at the sub-venues. They include:
Comprehensive Activities: On December 19, the present ICCIE will hold the grand opening ceremony and special theatrical performances at the National Indoor Stadium. During the ICCIE, the International Forum on the Development of China’s Cultural and Creative Industry and the promotion of key projects and contract signing of cultural and creative industry in Beijing will be held.
Exhibitions
The main venue is at China International Exhibition Center with a total area of 55,000 square meters. It will set up 15 thematic pavilions, including cultural performing arts; animated cartoon games; arts and crafts; radio, film and television; antiquities and museums; cultural tourism; creative design; press, publication and copyright trade; creative gifts and art trading; sports industry and cultural and creative industries of various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities; quality products of cultural creation from Taiwan; international cultural creation; cultural and creative industries clustering zones; young people’s cultural creation; and innovative achievements; and city sculptures.
Sub-Venue Activities
The current ICCIE will set up 14 sub-venues in more than 20 convention centers in Beijing, with a total floor space of 135,000 square meters. They include more than ten themed cultural and creative activities: China International Expo of Internet Culture; Beijing International Sports Film Week and Milan International Sports Film Festival; Global University Creation Expo; Beijing·International Expo of Chinese Cultural Relics; Museum Related Products and Technology Fair; the 8th Anniversary Exhibition of China Realist School Paintings; Taihu International Book Fair; Beijing International Engraving Arts Fair; Art in China—National Art Exhibition; Beijing International Comic Animation Carnival; Featured Exhibition of City Culture Experience; the first International Cultural and Creative Festival at Lang Park Vintage; National Fine Art Exhibition and Fine Arts and Crafts Exhibition by Chinese Masters; and the sub-venue in Chaoyang District.
Forums and Summit Conferences
The main forum will be the International Forum on the Development of China’s Cultural and Creative Industries. The 9 sub-forums are: Forum on Cultural and Creative Industries and Urban Brand; Forum on the Development of the Cultural Industry in the Capital City; Forum on the Development of Radio, Film and Television; Beijing International Copyright Forum; Forum on Museums and the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries; China (Beijing) Summit Forum on Sports Industry; Forum on the Development of Art Auction Industry; Forum on the Development of Clustering Zones for Cultural and Creative Industries in Beijing; and International Forum on the Development of Animation Games Industry. Authoritative personnel from international organizations and government departments and domestic and international experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from relevant industries will conduct face to face communication and discussion with the participants around the hot issues about the development of related industries.
Adhering to the spirit of the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the current ICCIE will hold a main forum and 9 sub-forums. They will, from the macroscopic and microscopic perspectives, conduct in-depth discussions on the new ideas and measures for developing a strong socialist culture in China.

The current ICCIE will further strengthen its transaction function and increase the number of trade promotion activities. A total of 17 special project trade promotions will be held, including Promotion of Cultural and Creative Industry Projects and Cooperation in Resource Development; Promotion of Digital Content • Animation Game Industrial Projects; Fair on Cross-Strait Opportunities in Urban Cultural and Creative Industries; Fair on Cross-Strait Inter-City Cooperation of Cultural and Creative Industry Talents; Beijing International Art Licensing Trade Fair; Promotion of Beijing Cultural Enterprises to Develop Overseas Markets; Beijing series of events in 2012 auction season; Project Signing and Brand Promotion Activities in Cultural and Financial Innovation; Negotiation Fair of Business Opportunities in Chinese Art Trade; Promotion of Beijing Cultural and Creative Industry Investment and Financing Projects; Beijing International Exhibition Fair for Audio Equipment; Recruitment Fair for Cultural and Creative Talents; Fair for the Promotion of Exclusive Custom Gifts; Special Contract Signing of Cultural and Creative Projects by Beijing State-Owned Asset Management Limited Liability Company; Promotion of "Expo of Brand Culture of China International Enterprises"; Promotion Fair of Folk Culture Industry; and series of cultural and creative industry project promotions by various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities.

The current ICCIE will hold 14 sessions of creative activities with rich contents and covering wide areas. They include "Huali (China Gifts) Award" of China International Gifts and Leisure Products Design Competition; 2012 China Red Star Award for Innovative Design; Beijing College Students’ Creativity Fair; 2012 Arts and Crafts Innovative Design Competition; "Low Carbon Environmental Protection·Innovative Life"—Competition of Creative Redesign of Wastes; Beijing Youth’s Cultural and Creative Festival; Competition of Beijing New Rural Youth’s Cultural and Creative Works; Industrial Tourism—Entering Beijing’s Manufacturing Industry; Poetic China—Mid-Autumn International Original Poetry Event at China Millennium Monument; 2012 China International Fashion Design Awards at China Millennium Monument; China New Media Grand Ceremony and the 5th Festival of New Media; China 3D Technology and Innovation Festival; Roundtable Meeting of Creative Economy and Copyright Protection; and Roundtable Meeting of Modern Communication Industry.
