2011 Beijing International Youth Excellent Creative Works Exhibition Held

From 10 to 13 November, the 6th ICCIE will be co-hosted by Ministry of Culture, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television and Beijing Municipal Government at China International Exhibition Center. During this ICCIE, China Communist Youth League Beijing Committee and ICCIE Organizing Committee will co-host the 2011 Beijing International Youth Excellent Creative Works Exhibition. It will be mainly a display of excellent works selected from the 6th Beijing Adolescent Creative Festival and the 3rd New Rural, New Creative, New Life Design Competition. Four thematically arranged sections will showcase the results and achievements of these two symbolic activities.
High light 1: Creative is everything!
The Beijing Adolescent Creative Achievements Promoting and Trading Area will mainly exhibit excellent works from the Gifts from Beijing Youth and the “Challenge Cup” College Students Extracurricular Sci-Tech Works Competition. The Gifts from Beijing Youth was an event targeted at all design lovers, those who work for businesses and those who still study in schools or colleges in Beijing. Works for submission were encouraged to base on Beijing and convey creativeness and originality in artistry, practicality and contemporarality. The 658 entries for the Challenge Cup were selected from 305 colleges and universities from Mainland China, more than 10 universities from Hong Kong and Macao, and even universities from Russia. .
High light 2: Gathering young talents, congealing creative results
Beijing Adolescent Creative Talents Promotion Area will be allocated in 6 parts and will be showing creative works Communist Youth League Beijing Committee and some districts/ counties of Beijing. The Beijing Youth Creative Park has now gathered more than 400 creative companies who staff mainly young designers. Promotion and trade fairs will be held to facilitate conversion of creative works.
High light 3: Creative agriculture
Beijing Youth Creative Achievements Exhibition Area will mainly display creative works by young adults from 10 suburbs and counties of Beijing, of how they integrate, in form of creative art, sci-tech with agriculture, how they expand agricultural functionality and resource integration, and transform traditional agriculture into a modern one that combines production, life and ecology together. Bulaotun is a village in Shunyi District, where you can see a scenic agriculture: non-ageing food, vegetarian food and spectacular fairyland scene coupled. The creative Shuijingfang (crystal plant) art works, aluminium can made works, fire gourd painting (indigenous of Beijing), feather painting, butterfly painting, root carving, bean carving and painting, egg sculpture, etc, are all there for a party show.
High light 4: CHINA-MADE film made its debut at ICCIE
Young Mini Film, the first creative project supported by Daxing District Government, made its debut at the Beijing International Youth Creative Works Exhibition Area of the 6th ICCIE, and is a project that gets sponsorship from China Guanghua Science and Technology Foundation and Youth Business China (YBC).
Film industry, as a one of the important creative industries, has become the leading industry of cultural trade. Mini films are seen as an emerging carrier of cultural contents of the modern society, and are intended to be used for building of platform for young filmmakers, for their filmmaking, experience exchanging as films are good communicators of culture, of social responsibility of enterprises and many others. Up to now, Young-Mini Film offline activity has gone into colleges and universities in Beijing with co-operative directors and exchange activities reaching Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
